Rodrigo Pinheiro visited the Valley a few weeks ago to instruct a seminar in McAllen at the Rodrigo Pinheiro school. Rodrigo talks to ValleyTudo.com about what its like to visit the Valley and Valley Jiu-Jitsu as well as his MMA career and also the future of Pinheiro Jiu-Jitsu in the Rio Grande Valley. Native of Manaus- Brazil, Rodrigo is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As a BJJ veteran competitor, Rodrigo holds a number of titles and has participated in a remarkable number of tournaments around the world including, the World BJJ Championship, the Brazil National Championship and the BJJ Pan-American Games.

For the past year, Rodrigo has worked diligently to become a complete and successful MMA fighter. Vigorous daily training routines include classes in Boxing and Muay Thai Kickboxing. New to the scene and fighting at 180lbs, Rodrigo has three professional MMA fights and boasts an undefeated record of 4-1.
